We managed to get the lounge ready for plastering by the end of October, it involved getting the window and door linings installed and the wiring for the lights and sockets in place. We bought oak flooring for the hall but waited until after the plaster had dried before installing it.

We had a couple of the radiators hooked up with plastic piping so that the extension didn't freeze. once the walls had been painted the radiators were plumbed in properly.

The fireplace from the local salvage yard needed a bit of welding and we had a new hood and ash pan cover made for it, but it was painted and in place in time. It still needs more fire bricks in the flue and there is still a mantlepice to make. The Architrave and skirting boards were installed once the plaster had dried. The carpet was laid on 22nd December, the wiring for the lights was still being finished on Christmas day.

Upstairs it's a different story, the bathroom was temporarily relocated to a corner of the new bedroom because the old soil stack was ripped out when the hallway was opened up.
